Wide border of oak leaves, with shell at each corner and scale in bottom centre of border. Down each side, 'Description of the towns of Manchester and Salford' and a reference to streets and buildings of note'. Inset right, the 1650 plan; at foot of sheet, the South-west prospect of Manchester & Salford. Below the view of St. Ann's Square, an advertisement. Engravings: B. Cole. sculp. [printed by] Palmer & Howe, Manchester. Plan contains eighteen views. Undated. With features from the 1746 edition: new engravings of the houses of Miles Bower and Mr. Johnson.
