<p style='text-align: justify;'> William Hone's political satire published in 1819, the year of Peterloo Massacre. The pamphlet is a combination of Hone's rhyming couplets and illustrations by George Cruikshank. The pamphlet attacks the power and corruption, and in general the authoritarian nature of the British political establishment. Contains a political satire, in verse; dedicated to Dr. Slop (i.e. Sir John Stoddart). Title vignette entitled 'The pen and the sword'. </p>
