<p style='text-align: justify;'> Three women are stacking logs into a pile. They are wearing breeches, smocks and jumpers, one has a slouch hat. The Women's Forestry Service was started by Miss Rosamund Crowdy as a section of the Land Army. It was set up under the Timber Supply Department, part of the Board of trade in 1917. Training camps for cutting and measuring the timber were held at several locations, including Wendover. </p>
