<p style='text-align: justify;'> One woman is sat on a log holding a mug. She is dressed in an overall with a badge on the sleeve, a hat, breeches and knee high laced boots. The Women's Forestry Service was started by Miss Rosamund Crowdy as a section of the Land Army. It was set up under the Timber Supply Department, part of the Board of trade in 1917. Training camps for cutting and measuring the timber were held at several locations, including Wendover. </p>
