Papers of Heinrich Simon, University of Manchester

In 1975, the second Lord Simon, Roger, presented to the John Rylands Library, University of Manchester, eight bound volumes of documents, principally letters but also diaries and other documents, amounting to 1,869 items in all, relating to Heinrich Simon’s life in the years 1816-40. These comprise the Heinrich Simon Papers, University of Manchester. In the late 1990s Kerstin Friedrich compiled a finding aid for each volume, which has been adapted as an introduction to the individual volumes.
